It's great just to be in the Lake District to enjoy the walking and the very varied weather. But a major reason for me to visit has always been the photography – initially as a hobby, more recently for my image library at www.edgypix.co.uk. It's a wonderful place.

The Lake District photos presented here have been collected over many years in all sorts of conditions. I've grouped them loosely into somewhat arbitrary areas – just because I have to organize them somehow – though obviously most peaks and passes can be approached from different starting points.
